Nor-Cal Woodtunrers Inc. is a non-profit organization with a mission to promote the traditions and art of woodturning.  We meet monthly to teach and share ideas with our members and the public.  Our main outreach programs are:

  1. Empty Bowls - where we make wooden bowls and donate them to the River City Food Bank for use in their fund raisers.  In 2016 we donated over 300 bowls to their cause.
  2. Youth Training Program - we work closely with the Elinor Hickey and Leo A. Palmiter schools.  Each Friday during the school year our "coaches" donate thier time to work one-on-one with the students, showing them how to use the wood lathe.  Creating a craft item such as a bowl or pen is a joy for the students.  Also having an adult give them special attention for a few hours is a big plus.  The school administration loves our program and says it is making a huge difference in the lives of their students.

100% of the proceeds from this auction will go toward our Youth Training program.
